About this study
Researchers are testing whether single-stage OAE screening alone is not inferior to the gold-standard two-stage Pure-tone audiometry (PTA) + otoacoustic emissions (OAE) screening at identifying hearing loss in preschoolers. The trial will involve 28,000 preschool children undergoing both PTA and OAE screenings, with the order determined by randomization. It aims to improve early hearing loss detection and intervention among D/HH children.
