About this study

This trial is testing whether taking open-label placebo pills, along with an expectation management session, improves chronic pain, sleep quality, and mood in people with temporomandibular disorders (TMD). Participants will be randomly assigned to take either open-label placebo pills alone, open-label placebo pills plus the expectation management session, or standard care. Researchers will compare these groups on measures of pain intensity, interference, anxiety, depression, and sleep quality.
