About this study
This trial is testing how people with healthy hearing and those with hearing loss perceive speech in different situations. The researchers are investigating whether the sounds around a word affect how well we understand it, especially for people who have difficulty hearing. They will also be using computer models to see how our brains process speech sounds when they are surrounded by other noises.
